A Fun Day
Today is that one day of the year that I both look forward to and dread. It’s our company’s yearly sportsfest dubbed as the Fun Day. It should be fun right? Well it is, but it also is that one day when I’m drained of all my energy and my voice. But it’s all fun so I’m not complaining.
Imagine waking up at 2AM to come up with questions for the team muses and escorts q&a portion, then making flaglets and coming up with a makeshift obstacle course/parlor game from the limited materials available to you, then going to the venue to bask under the sweltering heat of the sun, then host the event at the top of your lungs over the microphone, then running around for updates, etc. Tiring ain’t it?
However, all that is so worth it, thanks to all the hot men to gawk at. My friends and I were surprised at the turnout, not of participants, but of gay men who work for our company. Dayng! I never knew there were that much gay men at work! We are all there, different shapes, sizes, colors, ethnic origins, etc. Gay men indeed rule! I swear! Every corner of the sports complex had a gay man there!
And of course, the merlats and straightos were there too. So it was all damn worth the exhaustion, my four different clothes changes, the drained liquids from my body, the headache, and the impending hoarseness of voice and possible sickness tomorrow.
It’s been like this for the past 3 years, but this year really had more gay men present! Next year, I vow to become a mere observer and not be part of any committee or join any sporting activity. That way, I have all the time in the world to gawk at hot men! Hahaha.
And yes, binakla ko na ang mga questions:
 1. If you were stuck in a desert, what shampoo will you use and how will you relate it to the current electoral system of the Philippines?
2. How will you describe the color blue to a blind man and how will your description make your team the over-all champions of the Fun Day 2007?
3. What makes you blush? How will you relate it to the elections in France?
4. What is the capital of Ethiopia? If you do not know the answer, what is sportsmanship?5. If you were given the chance to become the President of the Philippines for one day, which sporting activiity in the Fun day will you play?
6. If you could live forever, would you? Why and how will you relate it to the call center industry?
7. If you were given a million pesos to share to other teams, aside from yours, which team would you give it to?
8. What is the essence of a man/woman and how will you relate it to the cheering competition?
9. If you had superpowers, what powers would you have and how will these powers help your team win?
10. If you were given the chance to go back in history and change one major event that shaped the world to what it has become today, what would you change, why, and how is your answer related to the customer service industry?
11. If you were Paris Hilton for one day, how will you respond to an irate customer?
12. What famous personality parallels your team’s beauty and winning spirit?
13. What is world peace and if your team wins, how will that help us achieve world peace?
14. If you were to name Kris Aquino’s baby, what would it be and why is it relevant to the Fun Day festivities?
