I decided to retain it so I can keep in touch with my Friends in the US. In the US, there are more MySpace users than Multiply and Friendster. It was a big issue in the US when users found out that MySpace removed the Gay option in the sexual orientation section. @Riki

I opened up my MySpace account early that year, but I already had a Friendster account, and later, a Multiply account. Friendster and multiply are gay-friendly and have added a lot of cool features to their sites, whereas there's been almost zero changes/add-ons by MySpace. just to add, it is owned by Rupert Murdoch, owner and sponsor of a lot of right-wing media outlets (Fox News, etc. ).
