In the not-so-distant past, it was rumored that whenever this icon wanted to shop, they would have the entire mall closed to the general public so she could shop. 
To this day, I still wonder if those rumors are true and if she still does her own shopping.
My friends and I got the surprise of our lives as we went to Divisoria to do some shopping. I never expected to see someone of her stature and opulence to shop in a place like Divi! Not only that, she was dressed up like she always does whenever she’s in public – her signature butterfly-sleeved (?) Filipiniana gown, matching shoes, and big hair! I couldn’t believe we had a run-on with no less than former First Lady Imelda Marcos! She was so down-to-earth that she even sat on a plastic chair in the foodcourt! And she was also kind enough to allow people to have photos taken with her, and waited until everyone – who were so starstruck with her including my friends and I – got their chance at a photo op before she resumed her own shopping!Oh I love Imelda Marcos (only for her DTE moments in Deevee and her great sense of fashion and her SHOES!)!

Late last year I was kinda doing shopping in Rustans makati and got scared nung biglang madaming lalaking pumasok and yung mga gates ng mall ay sinasara.. to my surprise it was Madamme Imelda Marcos with her daughter Aimee Marcos… Since nakasara ang gate I donb’t have any choice but to shop..shop..shop.

the only reason she is not in jail is because her lawyers told her to play the “being just the wife card” .. she was pretty when she was younger.
