Miss Japan’s evening gown at the recently concluded Miss Universe 2007 competition noticeably looked very different from everyone else’s.
Curious where she got the gown? Find out after the jump. (Thanks to Nicky for this info)
Did something happen to her gown (scheming little bitches, I suppose) during the pre-pageant? Or did she deliberately choose that dress? Whatever it is, she still brought home the crown! Go Miss Japan!

I like her dress a lot. For some reason, it reminded me of a kimono. Pero pinakafavorite ko pa rin na gown ay yung kay Miss Japan from 2 or 3 years ago.. Yung bra lang ang itaas.

if you chacked the MIss Universe website for her profile, you will see that the evening dress is also Fridda Giannini from Gucci in Fall/Winter 2006 [from Metro Sept 2006].
(Which is a flashy and a overstatement plunging neckline hippie prints with a (leather) obi belt)

Wow. Thanks for that info. I guess Japan didn’t have enough time to have clothes created for their contestant. That, or they just decided to let their contestant wear RTW!
