Bakla Ako, May Reklamo? — Tinky Winky
The Polish government has recently launched an investigation to find out if Teletubbies character Tinky Winky is gay (read report from Reuters here). Human rights groups and members of the European Union have been upset and have criticized the rightist government for their discrimination against homosexuals.
So what if Tinky WInky is gay? So what if Tinky Winky’s red handbag doesn’t match the color of his rotund purple body? Can television really convert straight little tots into gay men? I highly doubt it.

Poland finally caved! After being mocked across the globe the so-called watch dog has flip-flopped. The Washington Post Offbeat Blog has a hilarious 2 part series on this today. Hard to imagine there could be any more Polish jokes out there but when a country is 8 years behind Jerry Falwell, that really says something!

I just read off AP that they have, indeed, stopped the probing. This actually made me wonder why Poland only wanted to probe now when Falwell has made his allegations in 1999.
