Manila Girl!

June 1st, 2007 by AJ Leave a reply »

I moved to Manila four years ago in the hopes of finding my niche and living the life I’ve always wanted. Ever since I was little, I always gravitated towards this beautiful third-world metropolis. I knew that I was gonna make it big here (yeah, I dreamed that much), but that remains to be seen.

Upon my arrival, I put all my attention to finding a job. I started working for the entertainment industry and after a year, I quit and moved to an industry, which I said (and now regret) was one I would never work for – ever. Three years later, I find myself enjoying my job, my company and my industry. But of course, I’m still dreaming of working for the world’s best company to work for – and I’m sure Aileen can attest to this – Google!

This metropolis, despite the pollution and impossible traffic, has a lot to offer. One will never get bored in this city. Heck, you don;t even have to have a lot of money to enjoy. You can walk around the busy streets and do some Pogi Spotting and I’m dead sure that you would see a lot of the hottest Manila Gay Guys! If you’re as lucky and blessed as Misterhubs, you might find your own hubby. I’m quite unlucky in this department though, so I’m living my Life in Random like Tiggah does.

In the next six years, before I turn 30, I vow to explore more of Manila and more of the neighboring countries in SouthEast Asia – just like River the BiSEAN guy.And if I get tired of this region, I can always explore the rest of the universe and become a Universal Player.

I’m a Manila Girl now! I have so many tales to tell about my almost half-a-decade stay here. And many of these stories are better left Pinoy Stories left Untold.

In case you’re wondering, this is a post about which blogs are, for me, 2007’s Emerging Influential Blogs. I have 92 blogs on my Google Reader and these blogs are the ones that I look forward to reading everyday (of course there are many other blogs but they’ve been put in before August 2006). And yes, I have that many blogs on my reader, which I check conscientiously, like say, every hour!

These are blogs that started anytime from August 1, 2006 to the present. They are gradually gaining a considerable amount of readership and influence.
To join this effort, please do the following:

  • Write a blog post and pick your choice of 10 (or less) emerging influential blogs. Any blog in the world can be picked. (You can update the same post entry up to July 28.)
  • Include a link to this post to help spread the word. (Hope you can also vote for it in Digg)
  • Post a comment and let us know about your entry. Only one entry per blogger.

Wow! I’m touched hehehe. Many, many thanks! Ang kyot mo promise! Oh, BTW, I tagged you in my “ideal guy” post. ;)

  3. Hello. I notice that Bi.S.E.A.N is not a blog. The page 2 and onwards pages of Pogi Spotting is not viewable that unables me to determine its blog age.

    Thank you for joining!

Hi there! Bi.S.E.A.N. is actually a blog, it just looks like an information website but it is a blog :)

As for Pogi Spotting, i think the owner did something wrong with the page, trying to infuse alexa redirect linking on all links, I had to figure out the actual links by viewing the source of the page. the blog used to be very simple though…

  5. Hi AJ. Will check Bi.S.E.A.N further. I noticed its domain name is http://blogpsot.com/ and not blogspot. It has no dates in its posting to determine its age or RSS that is common to blogs.

For POGI Spotting, I will check it again later.

I checked my post and I apologize for the error. My dyslexic fingers typed blogpsot instead of blogSPOT! My bad! I have since corrected the link error
