After our controversial review on the unreal Philippines’ Next Top Model comes another one. This time though, we will be a lot nicer and won’t post anything negative about this ANTM online version. In fact, we’ll go low and promote it on this site. No, we’re not talking about doing a review on the just-concluded America’s Next Top Model Cycle 8 (which, I think, will make its way to Philippine Television — free or cable — sometime in the year 2027.). We are talking about another Next Top Model “franchise.” Friends, Romans, countrymen, we bring you…

Unlike the PNTM videos, this is an ACTUAL contest where people vote in the preliminaries and a group of judges votes during the eliminations. They start off with auditions where interested guys4men members send their audition photos then the masses, the contestants’ friends and family, and browser auto-refresh functions/plugins vote who among the 30 applicants will make it to the final 12. Bongga davah? It’s a 12-week competition, and by the looks of it, they really put a lot of effort into this contest. Hey, they wouldn’t be on their second cycle if the first one wasn’t successful, right? That’s A for effort.
The contestants… hmmm, let’s just say that some of them are really hot and some of them may just try again in the next cycle. But this is the Internet and all the contestants (if I’m not mistaken) are from the bayan kong sinilangan, so I guess the final 12 will be decided by who has the best auto-refresh browser plugin and the most number of friends (with auto-refresh plugins on their browsers). This is the downside of this competition though — their pollhost allows multiple votes from the same IP address, unlike that of Khalel’s Hush and Listen or The Composed Gentleman’s Filipino Blog of the Week.
PUBLIC VOTING
At 12:01 on June 17, polls will be opened to the public on the G4M-NTM blog. The public will be able to vote for as many candidates as they want, as many times as they want. The polls are below.
Disclaimer: This is the only time that public voting will be used to determine an outcome on G4M’s Next Top Model. All other results will be based on the votes of the judges.
Voting will end 1 week later at 11:59 pm on June 23. The public votes will be combined with the judges’ votes to determine the Top 12 models for Cycle 2.
Anyhoots, I will definitely follow this competition, for reasons which many people will hate me for. I’m sure I will harbor hatred, lose friends, gain frenemies and will continue to receive threats (as I did with the previous review) from people who detest criticism.
Oh and yeah, I have an early favorite. Well, he’s the only one I like amongst all the contestants (that is, if his pics are real, which I think and hope are). And I hope he has as many friends as the others who are now leading the pack with more than 72,000 votes as of this writing. (If you guess my favorite correctly, I’ll treat you to the coffee shop of your choice (Starbucks or CBTL only please — I’m that poor and that cheap. hehe).
Now get your ass off this site (errm, the link will open in a new window. of course I’d love for you stay here) and vote for your favorite contestant and click here! Let’s see who will be in the running towards becoming Guys4men’s Next Top Model.

Kakaaliw naman, may themes pa every week. Mukhang mas interesante pa ito kesa sa PNTM.

Thanks for supporting G4M’s Next Top Model!
Just a quick clarification though. For the auditions, the public voting only counts for 50% of the final score. The votes from the judges count for the other 50%, so there’s a balance between who the audience wants in the competition and who the judges want in the competition.
Thanks again!
