Jelly Belly, Drive Safely

Jelly Belly, Drive Safely. Say what? You might be wondering how those two different phrases are related to each other. Well, you’re not alone. When I received the invite from GeiserMaclang to an event recently, I asked the same question.

It only made sense to me when I attended the media launch of A License to Drink and Drive: The Jelly Belly Campaign for Responsible Drinking. Spearheaded by Candy Corner, the country’s leading confectionery retail outlet chain, in cooperation with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP), the campaign aims to educate more Filipinos on responsible drinking by giving alcohol drinkers an aternative way to enjoy a party without having to drink a lot. Or better yet, without having to drink alcoholic beverages at all. Uhm, that may sound a little bit too kill-joy, but it does make sense. How? The Jelly Belly Mocktails!

JELLY BELLY MOCKTAILSWith the more than a hundred (101 to be exact) flavors of Jelly Belly, makers of the world’s best jelly beans, this is possible. The alcohol-inspired flavors (like Margarita, Strawberry Daiquiri, Pina Colada, etc.), mixed with the numerous choices of fruit (Mango, Watermelon, Plum, Blueberry, Cantaloupe, etc.) and food-inspired (Toasted Marshmallows, Buttered Popcorn, Peanut Butter, Jalapeno, Strawberry cheesecake, Smoothie Flavors,Cafe Latte, etc) will surely burst out the goodness of mind-blowing cocktails! The good thing about this is that you don’t necessarily have to include alcohol in the recipe. And when you’re in a club or in a bar, you wouldn’t wanna get caught dead drinking just plain iced tea or orange juice, would you? I wouldn’t.

If you don’t drive, then why should you worry about drinking to your heart’s (and liver’s) content, right? Well according to the World Health Organization, 12% of Filipinos are heavy and hazardous drinkers. And yearly, more than two million bystanders are reported to have been injured because of road-related mishaps.

JELLY BELLY MOCKTAILSThen again, we also don’t want to discount the fact that the reason most of us drink is because we get a buzz (or more) from it, and I’m not, as I’m sure you aren’t either, ready to give that up just yet (or ever). Drinking is good for the soul. These mocktails actually give us a different kind of buzz, the buzz that makes us giddy-up, giddy-up, giddy-up, let’s go — sugar buzz!

These drinks are not available in clubs and bars — yet. There are recipe books available online (http://www.candycorneronline.com and http://jellybelly.com) for these mixes and you can make these mocktails at the comfort of your own home. But it sure would be nice if bars and clubs offered these kinds of drinks, would it?

Now I understand how Jelly Belly helps us all Drive Safely! Come on everybody, it’s time to party!

Got Pride?

Christmas is just around the corner. I’m sure some of you have already started doing your shopping or have at least started creating your wish lists. But before Christmas, there is something that we, gay men, should look forward to: The Annual Pride March.

The annual Pride March is different from the ones that are being held mid-year in Malate or Makati. (I think those are called Pride Parties?). This march is an annual gathering of Filipinos who embrace diversity and equality. This is the annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride March! It is a celebration of LGBT pride and solidarity!

Philippines Annual Pride March

Anyone and everyone can join! Be you a boy, be you a girl, be you gay, be you lesbian, be you bi – you are invited to the event! And no, there isn’t any dress code. You can come as you are or come as someone else! Bring your own baons too mother, father, brother sister, (how do you brush your teeth?). This event aims to raise consciousness about LGBT issues and concerns, while having fun of course. (Visit the 2007 Manila Pride March Blog for more info, updates, and volunteer work)

Pride is about dignity. Own it.

Flaunt your rights.

Celebrate your freedom.

ALL YOU NEED IS PRIDE!

Time to Pee!

I have this habit of flushing the toilet or the urinal halfway through peeing. I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I just have this urge to flush even if I’m not done peeing yet. Of course I’d make another flush after I finish.

Now I look back to my younger years when I played with my pee. I remember having peeing contests with my brother and neighbors. No I did not get aroused by seeing other boys’ dicks, not yet anyway as that started happening when I turned about 15 or 16. We The boy who could pee the farthest wins. The prize? Bragging rights. I also remember playing with my pee. No, not the kind that is involved in sex, like say golden showers? I mean playing while peeing. The village I come from (seems so far away, all of the girls know much more what to say, but I know, I have a heart like the sea, a million dreams are in me!) is located on the hills (are alive with the sound of music…aaahhh) and our backyard was this vast area of land where only grass and some trees grew. My friends and I used to play there and since it was too much effort to go back home to pee, we normally peed right there. I remember games of aiming at an empty can and filling it up with pee. At home, in the bathroom, I tried making shapes out of my tequila sunrise-colored pee as it hit the water in the bowl.

Now that I’m all grown up and beautiful, I still play some of those games. Well, only that toilet bowl thing, since I don’t have a bukid near me. I have new games… like trying to shoot that pee into the bowl when I’m so wasted or trying to shoot pee into the bowl while an erection is ongoing. Don’t you think it’s just too damn hard to do that? So difficult that I sometimes just sit to pee.

That’s why I prefer peeing on urinals. If I can have a urinal installed in my bathroom, life would be easier. I love urinals! The most quaint I’ve ever seen and peed on, I think, is the one on Bed’s second floor. You know, the one where you can almost (sometimes always) see the person peeing on the other side through a thin aquarium. Then there are also those signs that say, “Move closer, it’s not as long as you think it is.”

In Germany, there are some cool urinals like the one in this video below. Read the rest of this entry »

Enlarge Your Penis!

What is it about size that makes a lot of people want big dicks? I haven’t found any studies proving or disproving the theory that Asian men have smaller cocks, but my personal experience tells me that there may be some truth to it. I don’t know about you but I’m doing fine given my “Asian” size.  Why? Uhm, let’s just say that I prioritize quality over quantity. BEsides, I’m no size queen and as was divulged by Rye in their latest Pinas Podcast of the Dan and Rye Show, I only have sex at least once in five months! But to be honest, I like looking at cocks and prefer watching porn if the cock sizes are not small.  They don’t necessarily have to be large or as large as the World’s Largest Cock.  Just not too small.

world's biggest cockA few weeks ago, I posted something about receiving spam emails about enlarging my cock. Yes, these people who create these spam emails are quite the creative types coming up with hilarious subject lines.  I used to take note of these but lost that list.  So today, when I checked my emails while reading some kwentong kalibugan on the side (yes, I’m very good at multitasking), I got distracted by the spam messages on my inbox.  I listed them down and came up with this brand new list:

Gay Events Philippines

You’re happy and gay and you know it.  But how do you make yourself even happier? Oh, there are lots of things you can do to find that inner peace and happiness.

For those who want instant happiness and fun or those who want to meet other gay men (and possibly, Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now),  there’s the clubbing and partying scenes at the Metro’s hottest bars and clubs.  For those who want happiness of the soul and enrichment of one’s mind, there is theater.  For those who want to just sit back and relax, there are movies. For those who, uhm, want instant gratification, there are uhm…. bath houses.

These are just a few of the different events that may provide happiness – instant and short-lived or otherwise.  But how does one know where to go and what events are on at the moment or the weekend after payday?  With so many events and so many activities catering to gay men and events that interest gay and straight folk alike, it’s just quite difficult to keep track.

That’s why we are launching a new blog: Gay Events Philippines!

This blog gives you a roundup of all gay-oriented and gay-related events here in the Philippines. This is your guide to Theater screenings, Clubbing, Parties, Social Outreach Programs, Eyeballs, Pride Marches, Spas and Bath Houses, Food, Bazaars, Seminars, Music and Album Launches, Concerts and so much more!

So what are you waiting for? Get yourself updated with “current” events and head on the Gay Events Philippines!

Help Find a Missing Person

We’re taking a short break to help our friend find her father who has been missing since last night, November 5. The father’s name is Donato “Totong” Jadol. He is 72 years old and has Alzheimer’s Disease.

He was last seen wearing white button-down shirt, brown slack and brown shoes. He was also carrying with him a black umbrella with the logo of Accenture. He was last seen on his way home to Rosario, Cavite from SM Bacoor.

The family believes that Mr. Jadol may have headed to Metro Manila instead of heading home to Rosario, Cavite. According to Ms. Jadol, her father is familiar with Metro Manila but his disease may cause him an inability to remember the places and areas he used to be familiar with. We need all the help that we can get.

If you are in the media or have connections to the media, we would appreciate it if we can have it announced over AM/FM Radio and television. Prayers would also be most appreciated.

If you have any information leading to the whereabouts of Mr. Jadol, please give us a call at +63 915 444 7074. His emergency contact information are in his polo shirt . Thank you very much.

AJ
