Bakla Ako, May Reklamo?

*This is part of a series of posts about the material things I want for Christmas. I have another list of things which are intangible and could not be bought by money, but that’s a different story altogether. The number one item on that list would be world peace, followed by a gift inspired by the movie Love Actually - a “you” for whom I can sing the song “All I want for Christmas is You.”

4. Art

It’s almost the end of the year and for me, this only means that I’d have to look for another condo unit to move into.  Why don’t I just stay here?  For one, I’ve already had a bad experience after having the unit broken into and my laptop stolen last August. Now I have become too paranoid that even if I already have 5 locks installed on the door, I still put the couch behind the door before I sleep.

So new condo unit means new aesthetic considerations.  I’m big on self-promotion and most people know that I’m a narcissistic bitch.  So what would be lovelier than artwork featuring myself right?  In my previous unit, what I did was rasterize a photo of myself and print it into several pages to come up with a wall “painting” of myself.

When I move in January, I want my place to have a little sense of “sosyalness” by having, well, a photo of myself turned into an artwork of sorts. And when I found this store that can Turn Photos into Cool Christmas Gifts inside Shangri-la Mall, I knew I wanted that.  I’m thinking of having my Surfer Dude Daw photo turned into Andy Warhol-ish Marilyn Monroe type of artwork. Or even Grafottos style.

And if you’re Santa, you can choose any photo of mine and have it made into a cool artwork and sent to me. And to quote the TV show, “Wish Ko Lang!”
