Disney Parks has recently opened it’s previously-exclusive-to-straight-folk Fairy Tale Wedding Ceremonies to gay couples in two of their US Parks and their cruise line. In an interview with Reuters, Disney Parks and Resorts spokesman Donn Walker said:
“We are not in the business of making judgments about the lifestyle of our guests. We are in the hospitality business and our parks and resorts are open to everyone,”
And true to their word, they are now offering their services to gay couples wanting to have that fairy tale wedding they’ve always wanted! Disney’s resorts previously allowed gay couples to take part in the vows renewals program but barred them from the wedding packages as these would require the applicants to acquire valid marriage licenses from California and Florida.
If you wanna have that Fairy Tale Wedding that you’ve always wanted, be ready to shell out a minimum of US $8,000. This already includes a wedding planner, food and drinks, the ceremony and small whatnots.
Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding packages start at $8,000 and include a wedding planner, the ceremony, food and beverages, flowers and table decorations, a ride onboard Cinderella’s coach, costumed trumpeters, and a special appearance of Mickey and Minnie in their formal garb. Special appearance of the Prince Charming is not included in the package. (Come on, you can’t have your cake and eat it!)
So what’s your Fairy Tale fantasy?
