On March 18th, when this blog was barely a month old, we posted a commentary on a series of videos entitled “Philippines Next Top Model.” The contents of the said post were the videos (full season) and the opinions of this author on the said videos. We do not claim that we’re perfect and since this is OUR blog, we have the liberty to express our opinions. We are not a media outfit and we are not journalists so we are not bound by rules of limiting our opinions to ourselves. We do not have a responsibility to anyone. We will not censor ourselves as that will defeat the purpose of this blog. We are open to expressing an apology, but the ball stops there. There may have been some error in our judgment, but that’s OUR judgment.
So this blog has just gotten its first hate comment. How do we deal with it?
hey bakal, inggit ka lang noh? don’t tell me na kacheapan toh dahil mas cheap ka pa smen..come to think of it, if you think it’s cheap then why bother posting ur comment sa blog mo…
it just goes to show that u’re more disgusting than us. and we’re not aesthetically-challenged. coz as a matter of fact, stephanie is part of up street dance club while charles was a starstruck batch 2 top 30 finalists…
inggit ka lng..it shows how u’r jealous…kung gusto mo gumawa k ng sarili mong NTM. and for ur info we ASKED permission sa copyright holder ng mga pics…inggit and sore loser…
Firstly, we would like to remind the readers that this is a blog. Whatever the author presents here is his own opinion and does not necessarily reflect the thoughts of the general public. We welcome feedback, positive or negative, because after all we’re not perfect. Again, whatever is written here are OPINIONS of one person, the author of this blog.
Secondly, this is the Internet. Whatever it is you put on the Internet is your responsibility. Whatever the consequences of your actions are will reflect on you and you should be ready to face these ramifications, if ever they are. If you post something personal which you think is really perfect, that’s fine. After all, the worldwide web has unlimited space for you. The Internet is home to a lot of self-proclaimed critics, like the author of this blog and numerous authors of other blogs, so be prepared to receive criticism - constructive or destructive. We do not always intend to put other people down, but sometimes, the need for it arises. At the end of the day, this still is about personal opinions of the author.
Thirdly, if you claim to have sought permission from owners of materials and information that you use, be sure to provide proof. We do not condone copyright infringement. But then again, this is the Internet so violations of Intellectual Property Rights laws are rampant. So if you really have acquired the rights to such copyrighted information, make sure you can easily come up with evidence of such acquisitions.
As for the comment above, I will not stoop to their level and react to it point by point (it will take us forever). However, I will be man enough to apologize. It may have been an error in my personal judgment. It may have been too harsh of me to post such opinions and use too offensive words. But this is my blog and I can post anything I want. But then again, this is all in the spirit of fun. And if people get offended with MY opinions, then it’s not my problem anymore, is it?
To the owners of the Philippines’ Next Top Model” videos, I’m sorry if you were offended by the written observations and opinions of an ordinary, normal blogger. If you guys think that your videos are beautiful, then so be it. I respect your creativity and efforts and I apologize for undermining such.
Beauty is relative.
