Bakla Ako, May Reklamo?

Red Box was gracious enough to sponsor an all-out, booze-till-you-drop party for bloggers. Organized by Jayvee, the party was, well let’s say, one of a kind. Bloggers of different persuasions and vocal ranges enjoyed (or not) the company of others — some new to them, others, all too familiar.

Room 86 (or the Joey Room) was pretty small and bloggers were packed like sardines. The smoking area — the balcony — was abuzz with bloggers discussing bloggable and non-bloggable topics, with a little help from beer, vodka, rum, and cigarettes. (The balcony, by the way, is a good spot for boy-watching). While all this discussion was going on at the balcony, another party spot was, where else, in front of the karaoke machine.

Whenever I hear the word karaoke (or videoke), the first thing I would think of is the list of songs I can sing decently. Or so I’d like to think. I love singing, but it apparently hates me. If you want proof of that, just ask the bloggers who were lucky enough to have gone home with their eardrums in tact. I can sing, but I cannot sing well. Or sing correctly. Sometimes, all it takes is just kakapalan. That, and performance level-ing. Daanin sa performance! And if you know me too well, you would know that once I get hold of a microphone and the remote control, you’re in for a long night of suffering.

So to everyone who had to go through hell listening to me last night, I hope you’re back to Earth.
