In the not-so-distant past, it was rumored that whenever this icon wanted to shop, they would have the entire mall closed to the general public so she could shop. 
To this day, I still wonder if those rumors are true and if she still does her own shopping.
My friends and I got the surprise of our lives as we went to Divisoria to do some shopping. I never expected to see someone of her stature and opulence to shop in a place like Divi! Not only that, she was dressed up like she always does whenever she’s in public - her signature butterfly-sleeved (?) Filipiniana gown, matching shoes, and big hair! I couldn’t believe we had a run-on with no less than former First Lady Imelda Marcos! She was so down-to-earth that she even sat on a plastic chair in the foodcourt! And she was also kind enough to allow people to have photos taken with her, and waited until everyone - who were so starstruck with her including my friends and I - got their chance at a photo op before she resumed her own shopping!Oh I love Imelda Marcos (only for her DTE moments in Deevee and her great sense of fashion and her SHOES!)!
