Some readers have ben wondering where the hell Bakla went. After posting that my hiatus is over, a series of unfortunate events have transpired, which made the Bakla Ako, May Reklamo? (I’m Gay, Got a Problem with That?) blog un-updated. Here are some of the reasons:
- Bakla’s internet connection and landline were disconnected. A day after that happened, he went to the PLDT business office to pay his bills (which he forgot was due when he was out of the country). PLDT informed him that the account will be reactivated within 48 hours. That was last week. As of this writing, the internet connection and landline are still inactive. The customer service hotline is closed on Sundays. After several phone calls last week, Bakla was continuously promised that this issue was gonna be expedited. 96 hours and about 10 phone calls later, the line remains inactive.
- Although Bakla has some internal “connections” with PLDT and could have had the issue resolved in no time, he opted not to use this “power” as he wanted to try how efficient PLDT’s service really is. In his whole experience with PLDT, Bakla only had good words to say about them. But he’s giving them an ultimatum until Monday (see, Bakla is very patient) to prove their worth and stop Bakla from lashing on them and start spewing negative reviews about them.
- Bakla has been dependent on Wifi connection in all parts of the Metro - free and not.
- Bakla has been meeting up with old friends to catch up on their lives. Although he is a Makati boy by heart, the past week has been spent mostly in Ortigas. And what did he realize? Bakla realized that he needs a new eye-candy-rich area - far from his beloved Makati - and what better alternative place than Ortigas!
- The TV show Brothers and Sisters is Bakla’s newest addiction. Since he has been out of the WWW lately, his free time was mostly spent watching this show.
- Bakla has caught the flu.
- Bakla has finally realized that he needs a television set. He’s out to buy one today.
- Bakla is currently enjoying FREE(!) wifi access here at Old Swiss Inn along Makati Ave. He’s currently sipping brewed coffee while enjoying Chocolate Fondue and Banana Fritters. And yeah, the occasional hot afam staying at Somerset.
So ladies and gentlemen, I am BACK-la!
