Bakla Ako, May Reklamo?

Wii? Red Box? Yup, you read that right.  They have Wii at Red Box.

I went to Red Box last night thinking that it was another special “this time only” Wii parties. But I learned later on that I was wrong - the Wii party was not a “this tıme only” affair. Red Box is more of a karaoke/videoke place for me and many others out there. Well that will change soon as RedBox has already started offering Nintendo Wii as part of their long list of choices for leisure and recreation.

I love playing Wii, but I can’t afford it.  So I just play whenever I get the chance to (unless someone donates their old Wii to me, I will quit my day job and play Wii all day long. lol).  So when I found out that RedBox will start offering Wii, I was happy since I can now alternate between singing (which is my passion, but family and friends tag it as pasyon.) and playing Wii!  Just imagine playing Wii using a super humongous screen!   Oh dear!

There was also a Wii-themed costume contest last night but I did not have the time to create my own costume so I just went dressed up as myself - in office wear.  I tried to pass it off as a Wii-game inspired costume from the game CSI: Hard Evidence, but no one believed me (I didn’t either).

That night, I discovered something essential to my Wii-playing.  I was too lazy to get up and play so I decided to just sit down and make minor hand movements while controlling the Nunchuck in Wii Sports Tennis.  It worked for me and I beat the crap out of Marcelle!  It doesn’t work with baseball though as Marcelle just fed me dirt and won all three rounds of baseball.  I realized that I really don’t need to get all sweaty and exhausted playing Wii. I used to play so physically that I ended up sweating from all of my pores - including the only virgin part of me, pore #467 on the right hand. I also realized how competitive I was.  Even if I was just seated and playing demurely, my inner bitch betrayed my Maria Clara-esque exterior everytime I lost a point. Crispy cusses spewed out of my mouth - to everyone’s shock and delight.

I had to leave the party early though as I needed to go to work.  I wasn’t able to showcase my singing prowess.  Then again, there’s always a next time!  Let’s Wii!
