Sex, Lies, and uhm, Gossip are three things that surely catch many people’s attention. If you’re familiar with Gossip Girl or the local Chikatime or the blogosphere’s DaWho, then this new book (set for release on June 1 in the US) will definitely be of interest to you. And if you’re so into Hollywood and celebrities, then you’ve got yourself a good buy with Hollywood Babylon: It’s Back.
The Original Hollywood Babylon
Hollywood Babylon: It’s Back is quite an interesting book for many reasons. One of these is the gallery of full-frontal nude pictures of Hollywood actors and celebrities. Among those featured in full-frontal shots are Mick Jagger, Daniel Radcliffe, Ewan McGregor, John Malkovich, James Woods, Richard Gere and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. The authors also discuss in the book who among Hollywood’s male stars are well, well-hung!
And just when you thought the cocks already make the book worth buying, there’s more! The authors also talk about information that not many people knew about their Hollywood heroes, dead or alive. The gossip items in the book may or may not have valid and legitimate sources, but the authors still published them. Here are a few samples outlined by the NY Daily Times1:
James Dean showed a disconcerting interest in a 12-year-old boy in the early 1950s.
Elvis Presley had a gay old time with Nick Adams, who played Johnny Yuma in the hit TV series “The Rebel.”
Cary Grant had an incestuous relationship with his stepson, Lance Reventlow.
Sir Winston Churchill got “musical” with actor and songwriter Ivor Novello.
I wondered why the book had “It’s Back” included in the title, so I did a little research online and found out that Hollywood Babylon was actually the title of books published in the late 1950’s2:
Hollywood Babylon is a book by Kenneth Anger, an ex-child actor, avant-garde filmmaker, occultist, and author, which details the sordid scandals of many famous and infamous Hollywood denizens from the 1900s to the 1950s. It was originally published in 1959 by J.J. Pauvert (Paris, France) as Hollywood Babylone. Anger wrote a sequel, Hollywood Babylon II, in 1984 and has frequently mentioned that Hollywood Babylon III may be on its way.
What better way to entertain yourself than look at nude photos of Hollywood actors while reading into the scandalous lives of Hollywood’s elite right?
