Dear all,

The Participation Committee for this year’s Manila Pride Season and Pride March, lead and organized by Task Force Pride (TFP) Philippines, is inviting more volunteers and members to be part of the Committee. One of, if not the, main project and target of the said committee is to expand the annual Pride March participants from an annual mean of 500 (probably less) persons to a 300% increase and a 2,000 happy and rainbow bunch of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities–lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders, heterosexuals, asexuals, pansexuals, queers, intersexed, non-identifiers etc–and most of all living, loving, and human rights- and equality-believing individuals. The Participation Committee of 2008 TFP has even gone farther by identifying 2,000 as the base number and targetting more than that number. If that happens, this year’s march will not only be the 10th year anniversary celebration of Task Force Pride but would also be the biggest and most diversely participated Pride March in Philippine history.

Ang Participation Committee samakatwid ay nangangailangan ng mga volunteer at kasapi para maisakatuparan ang pangunahing layuning ito. Kung kayo at ang inyong mga kaibigan, kamag-anak, kapamilya, kapuso, ka-ibigan, kaulayaw atbp ay interesadong sumali sa komiteng ito, magpunta sa Yahoogroups.com at magpalista po lamang sa

participationcom08tfp@yahoogroups.com .

Lahat ng naniniwala sa pantay na karapatan, maging anuman ang inyong kasarian, sexual orientation at gender identity, ay maaaring sumali sa komiteng ito.

Bukas ang pagpapalista at pagmimiyembro sa yahoogroup hanggang ika-15 ng Oktubre ng taong ito. Iminumungkahi na magkaroon ng o gamitin ang inyong Yahoo account para maging kasapi ng yahoogroup. Kung ang ginagamit niyong madalas naman ay isang non-yahoo account ngunit meron kayong Yahoo account, maari niyong i-link ang inyong non-yahoo sa inyong yahoo profile (ngunit ito ay magiging madali lamang para doon sa mga bihasa sa ganitong proseso).

Matapos ang inyong pagpapalista maaari po lamang pumunta sa Polls section sa bandang kaliwang bahagi ng Yahoogroup page at sagutin ang survey na “When is the most convenient day and time for you to meet as a Committee (to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate our projects and activities as a committee)?”. Sa paraang ito, malalaman natin kung anong araw at oras ang pinakamaganda at pinakamabuti para sa karamihan ng kasapi ng participation committee para magkita at magpulong tungkol sa mga plano at proyekto ng komite.
