You Can Send Me Flowers, Express!

Posted by: AJ In: From Bakla| Gay Shopping ()

I was in the shower yesterday, listening (and singing to my hearts content) to Madonna’s “She’s Not Me” when I thought I heard someone knock on my door. (I always leave my bathroom door open when I take a shower). Who knocks at someone else’s door at 7:30 AM? I know I don’t (unless it’s a morning tryst, wink wink). I quickly rinsed off, put a towel around my waist, and answered the door in all my shirtless glory (charing).

I peeped into the hole and saw a man in a delivery uniform carrying a long box. I wondered if it was a roll of cake (or Krispy Kremes), but I knew I did have food delivered that morning. When I opened the door, the man, all five feet and eight inches of him, looked into my eyes as if to devour me, pushed me inside and took off my…. errr, wait, that did not happen. The man said he had a package for me, not his package, but this box labeled Flowers Express:

Flowers Express - eLBC

I asked him whom the flowers were from but he said that he didn’t know and it probably was in the box. After I signed off on the delivery receipt, I scurried back in to my room and opened the package. Then I saw this:

Flowers Express - eLBC

Ooooh! A boquet of red roses! Quick fact: I have never received flowers from anyone in my entire life so this was a very sentimental moment. Crayola Khomeini was my drama. I hurriedly changed into my office attire and headed to work, flowers (still inside its box) on one hand, cigaretter on the other, and manpurse on the shoulder. I didn’t know who the flowers were for since I didn’t really look at the card yet. I walked to work and thought of whom to give the flowers to (in case I did not want to keep them, which was quite unlikely), still wondering who sent them. But all I knew was that that person, whoever he (”he” talaga!) is, is definitely loaded for he was able to afford to send flowers from eLBC!

When I finally had the chance to check the card at work, I was dismayed to have found no vital information regarding the sender. The card was blank:

Flowers Express

And there wasn’t anything else inside the box except for this other card:

Flowers Express - eLBC

Then it dawned on me that this is the Month of May. The Month of Flowers. The Month for Mothers! I love my mom and thought of sending her the flowers that I received, but the roses would probably become dried ones when she receives them. I’d rather order online and have them delivered to her, wherever she may be in the Philippines! I found out that this was possible when I visited the Flowers Express website, the URL of which was printed on the box.

I found out later on that the flowers actually came from Flowers Express! So to the people of Flowers Express, thank you so much for being the first to send me flowers in my 25 years of existence in this world!

And to all my admirers (if there’s actually one), please feel free to ask me for my delivery address so you can start sending flowers to me. :) Charot!

Flowers Express is not just about flowers – it’s about being part of something that builds relationships and underscores sincerity.

If only I live in Manila, then I wouldn’t need eLBC to send my sweet Kuya AJ some flowers. I’d be more than willing to deliver them myself. aahh. Love you kuya! Mwah!
