Nominations for the Philippine Blog Awards 2008 are now open

The nominations for the Philippine Blog Awards 2008 has already started last April 16. There are 36 awards categories in three (3) different categories are open for nomination. This year’s awards offer something new and different: awards for single posts/entries! This reflects the growing richness and diversity of the Philippine Blogging Community. 4

I have been very vocal about nominating myself but I actually haven’t done that yet. I will come up with a list of my nominees as well as a list of my own blog entries which I will nominate (kapal ng mukha no?). So far, I have only submitted one nomination: Will Garcia’s Integrati for Best Free Custom Theme. If you want me to nominate your blog, your blog entry (or if you want to nominate my blog or blog entries, wink wink. kapal ko talaga no?), just drop me a line and we can talk about it. :)

the anti-discrimination bill is a good thing, but i’m looking at it only as one of the means to fight prejudice.

i suppose we ourselves should each try to fight prejudice in however way we can.

(dammit, i can’t join MGG’s contest nor apply for 3rd media’s offer — i’m straight! and now that i need a job… argh! why aren’t there things like these like these for “outed” straight men? LOL)

i heard about the sugery in cebu, and it disheartened me. schools are producing medical and paramedical people who have obviously no personal and work ethics. it doesn’t just reflect how they are (mis)raised by their parents, but also how they were (mis)trained by their schools.

it’s just so sh1tty.

*anyhow, i hope you enlist me in your gay blogs.

I hope this serves as a wake-up call to all members of the house of representatives. Or at least the ones who care enough about real human rights.
