I’m a big coffee freak. So big that I could not last a day without getting a java fix. Most of the time, I could my mind does not function properly if I do not start my day with freshly brewed coffee - my first cup of the day. On a regular normal day, I drink about three cups of coffee.
Spiked coffee is not new to me. Whenever I get the chance (or if the coffee shop offers it), I take my coffee with a shot of Bailey’s. Not many coffee shops in the metro offer spiked coffee so when I heard about this “restaurant” offering spiked coffee, I got curious.
Delifrance? A coffee shop? I knew that Delifrance served pasta (I love their Seafood Pasta!), sandwiches, baguettes and croissants since I dine there from time to time - mostly for dinner before a movie date. But I didn’t notice that they served coffee too. What I found out recently, at a dinner hosted by Delifrance, was that they have just extended their menu from food and basic coffee to an exciting line of spiked coffee. And they’re launching it with a big bang!
From March 3 to 7, at 5PM (and onwards), when a Delifrance barista asks the password, just say “Naughty with my coffee” and they will give you a taste of the full-bodied flavor of outstanding coffee with a little mischief. And guess what, it’s for FREE! This is part of their Spiked After 5 campaign to share to the Filipinos the excitingly different collection of coffee beverages with a twist.

I got to sample the taste of all three variants and found them not only rich in taste and flavor, but also with just the right amount of alcohol in it. My favorite is the Sputnik Vodka Espresso - a wild fusion of crushed blended ice, aromatic espresso, crystal clear vodka and lemon sugar. I think it had me at Vodka since that was the first time I’ve heard coffee spiked with vodka. I also loved the Irish Kiss Baileys (hot, but they also serve it iced) as well as the Mayan Passion Kahlua.
So this week, if you wanna get naughty after getting off from work, I suggest that you head to a Delifrance branch near you and get spiked!
