Ah! Virgin, Virgin, where art thou?
It’s Virgin Labfest time again! And this time, it’s bigger, brighter, and well, even brighter! What is Virgin Labfest?
“The Virgin Labfest is a venue for playwrights, directors and actors to bring to life ’untried, untested, unpublished and unstaged’ one-act plays,” explains festival founder Rody Vera.1
The Labfest begins today, June 25, at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. There are many reasons why catching this theater festival of sorts is more than worth it:
Gibbs Cadiz is giving away free tickets to the Virgin Labfest.- You get to see the talents of our own theater groups and theater performers.
- There are three gay-themed plays in the Labfest.
- You get the chance of winning a prize (just by blogging about the plays you’ve seen) courtesy of the organizers.
- The Labfest ticket price for the main exhibition sets is only P200, and that gives you entry to three plays already.
- (Other ticket prizes are P100 for the symposium and “Pay What You Can” for play readings.)
- You can now tell your ka-eyeball that you are a person who has culture and breeding because you watch plays.
- You will have fun!
So what are you waiting for? Check out the plays and their schedules here! Pa-Virgin ka na!
