The Other Binibining Pilipinas 2008 Top 10 Finalists’ Answers

By now you all should have seen the video (and its numerous remixes) of the interview answer of Binibining Pilipinas World 2008 Janina San Miguel. Her answer in the Q&A segment of the show has made her an international household name. But what you might have missed out on are the answers of the other candidates in the TAF TEN! Watching the videos of the other contestants answering the judges questions has made me think that these girls may just have proven beauty pageant detractors that these contests are not really all about brains.
We have to understand that these girls, even though they are not as viral as Janina has become, have to be given the limelight too. Because after all, they are also important persons in my life! Thank you!
So here are the transcripts and the videos of the answers of some of the finalists:

US Ambassador to the Philippines Christie Kenny: Hi, Good Evening, Sel. Who among the women leaders of the world would you like to meet and why? Contestant: She is the present president op the PILIPINS, but I TINK DAT I will made it, if I were President op the PILIPINS because I have da heart for all the PILIPINOS and right now I’m SK Chairwoman, I’m starting to, I’m starting to serve the public. I’m starting to serb the people and started PORM the YUT. And I TINK, years from now, I can make it to be the president op the PILIPINS, because right now, at the age of 17-years old, I SERB many people, especially the YUT. Thank you. |
| baklang AJ: WTF! How in devil’s hell do we expect her to represent the country if she doesn’t even know how to pronounce the name of her country correctly! And by golly! The question was who you wanted to MEET and not BEAT! Oh and yeah, what’s up with being 17-years old? Good thing you answered ahead of Janina or people would have accused you of copying an answer. Uhm, now we think Janina got the idea of 17-years old from you! |

Judge: Patricia, Good Evening. Contestant: Good Evening Sir. Judge: Which person do you admire the most and why? Contestant: Personally, I admire Mother THeresa. Because (pause) she actually does good things, because she loves God. (pauses) She has the passion for doing it. What is important in life is one’s passion. So she does not, she does not want any other thing except serve her passion. And I believe, all of us SHOULD DO HER. Do. Should do the same. Thank you. |
