A few weeks ago, we gave you the second edition of the Kaninong Bakat Yan? – KaBaYan (Guess That Bulge) contest. Our site went down for about three days so we decided to extend the deadline of submission of entries to August 8th.
What an overwhelming response that was! Thank you all for the support and thanks to all those who joined. A total of about 50 people sent in their answers – 33 of which were correct.
Kaninong Bakat Yan?
Of course we all know the answer: MARC NELSON!
And the winner is (we used randomizer.org to determine the winner):
Out Magazine has just released their list of 50 most powerful gays and lesbians in the United States.
We are fascinated by power, how people get it, wield it, and lose it. To create our second list, we restricted our candidates to those who are gay and living and working primarily in North Americaâ€â€sorry again, Elton. The rankings were determined by scoring each candidate on these criteria: (1) political clout; (2) pop-cultural resonance; (3) individual wealth; and (4) current personal profile. – Out Magazine
While we don’t know many of those in the list, it is quite interesting to see some familiar names. (Full list after the jump)
Here are our favorites, the ones we know, and the most controversial from the list:
31. Rosie O’Donnell
Rosie fell from 6th place last year to 31st this year! Whoa, that’s 25 points down!
28. Tim Gunn
He who has inspired many to “Make it Work!”
“No Amazing Race show can be without its hunk factor and that is where Marc and Rovilson from the Philippines come in. This is one team with the two flamboyant individuals, who dish out a mixture of comedy and ego with a ton of sass. Both TV hosts by day, Rovilson also works as a magazine editor while Marc is a model, whose face, and rather well toned body, has graced the cover of many magazines.”
This is the introductory statement on Marc’s and Rovilson’s profile on The Amazing Race Asia 2 website, save for the flamboyance. And we here at BAMR definitely agree that this team is indeed the hunk factor in this race. We’re hoping though that this second season of Asia’s franchise of The Amazing Race (which we are a big fan of) will not disappoint us like they did with their first season. The first season just sucked.
We’re also hoping that Marc (and, fine, Rovilson) won’t be as syongaers as the Philippine teams (Aubrey Miles and Jackie and Ernie Lopez and wife) and get eliminated early in the race. We’re banking on Marc’s experience hosting and participating in different sporting and extreme sporting events in Sports Unlimited will work for their team’s favor. Okay, so let’s also not discount Rovilson’s experience with Gameplan. (Disclaimer, it’s not that we hate Rovilson, we just LOVE and ADORE Marc Nelson). Read the rest of this entry »
A list of Filipino actors and celebrities rumored to be gay. Only one of them has come out and is confirmed to be one of us. As for the others on the list, we do not vouch for the veracity of the claims of this video, but we do agree to some of the suspects here… We are not saying that they are gay, this video does. Some of these men are actually already married and have kids. Then again, one can’t really tell.  Who else do you think should be on the list?
