On Boyet Fajardo’s Creative Outburst

“Figure of  speech ang kanyang ginawa eh. Bilang fashion designer, artist nga, ay minsan ay nagkakaroon ng mga creative outburst dahil na rin siguro sa pagod na nafi-feel niya ng mga panahon na iyon,” Ricky Rivera, the designer’s spokesman, told ABS-CBN’s morning show, “Umagang Kay Ganda.” – full story via ABS-CBN News

Creative outburst my ass!  I wonder why only a few people have come up and used this excuse.  Seriously, you can use “creative outburst” to justify anything you do – right or wrong. So release your inner Boyet Fajardo and use your creative outburst!

Let’s see how we can use creative outburst:

  1. Manny Pacquiao had a CREATIVE OUTBURST when he awarded ABS-CBN with the airing rights to his fight, causing another round of network wars. Then taking it back and saying he’s sorry. Creative Outburst!
  2. Marian Rivera in her infamous pagwawala video. Creative Outburst lang yon.
  3. Bayani Agbayani also had a CREATIVE OUTBURST when he made wala at The Fort.
  4. Malu Fernandez. Need I say more? CREATIVE OUTBURST!
  5. Philip Salvador when he made upak that bus driver, CREATIVE OUTBURST!
  6. DJ Montano. CREATIVE OUTBURST?
  7. Chikatime, CREATIVE OUTBURST!
  8. Chris Brown had lots and lots of CREATIVE OUTBURST when he beat up Rihanna.
  9. Christian Bale’s was an Imported CREATIVE OUTBURST! (courtesy of Joel McVie)

See, everything can be resolved and can be made takip by using CREATIVE OUTBURST!

So what’s your excuse? What’s your CREATIVE OUTBURST?

I just thought of a contest!

Why don’t you send in your MOST CREATIVE OUTBURST a la Boyet Fajardo? It can be your own, a celebrity’s your friend’s or anyone you know (or don’t know) Leave a comment here and win a prize from me! The MOST CREATIVE OUTBURST comment will receive a… (I’m still thinking what to give. lol)!

Entries (post here as a comment) will be accepted until April 3!

Rainbow Blog of the Week and Task Force Pride 2nd GA

So we’re nominated for the Rainbow Bloggers Philippines’ Rainbow Blog of the Week. Now on its fifth week, the RBP’s Rainbow Blog of the Week is “the most anticipated competition in the world of blogging parrots.”

This week is a fierce competition and I’m actually not expecting to win since I’m up against very prolific and well-known bloggers. There’s my friend The Bakla Review, The (HOT) Vegan Prince, and Lezfriendly. So I will not be campaigning and asking you to support Bakla Ako, May Reklamo, I’ll leave it up to you. Besides, I myself can’t even decide who to vote for. Charing.

One thing I can say though is that I’m quite happy with how the Rainbow Bloggers Philippines is turning out. Kudos to the original parrots who came up with this idea.

Also, the current influx of members and readers is a good sign that we can make it happen! I have high hopes that for this year’s Pride March, we will have a better (read: more people in the contingent) representation under the Rainbow Bloggers and Friends Banner!

Now that we have more members and more people know about us, we can definitely be there and join the Pride March in December!

For those of you who are interested, you can still volunteer to become a member of Task Force Pride (click here to view registration/volunteer form).

The 2nd General Assembly is set for Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 7PM to 9PM at BED Bar, Malate.  You can also bring your friends who are part of the LGBT Community or are LGBT Friendly who would like to help us plan for the 2009 Manila Pride March. To find out more about Task Force Pride, visit the official page here.

WIN ERASERHEADS (The Second Set) REUNION CONCERT TICKETS!

The Eraserheads Reunion Concert last year ended unexpectedly right after the first set. Due to unforeseen and sad circumstances, the show was cut off leaving all fans (myself included) sad, frustrated and disappointed.

Until recently, when we all found out that the supposed second set of the reunion concert is actually going to happen! Yes, the Eraserheads Reunion Concert’s SECOND SET will push through. The event will take place on March 7 at the SM Mall of Asia.

Like many of my friends (in real life and on Facebook and Friendster and everywhere!), I am so excited to watch this. Problem is, I don’t have tickets yet. And just as I thought there was no way I could acquire tickets to this, a project called Sandbox has come to the rescue!

Wang and Chupa Talk on Morning Radio

I arrived home quite later than usual yesterday morning and decided to tidy up my apartment a bit.  I used to listen to early morning radio shows after work but ever since I got myself a television set (and then later on a boyfriend who’s now an ex – in case you didn’t know).  There’s a lot of early morning radio “talk shows” nowadays and I actually love listening to them.  I don’t know why, but I was on a radio station surfing roll yesterday and what did I hear from almost all of them? Something to do with penises!  I’m not complaining!

89.9 Magic’s “Goodtimes with Mo” had a urologist for a guest and they were talking about, well… wangs!
90.7 Love Radio’s Chris Tsuper and Nicole Hiyala were talking about CHUPA being a non-offensive, non-bastos word in Zamboanga
93.1 Monster’s Chico and Delamar had some listeneres contributing “Abot Pusod” and the like to their top 10 list of (odd, or something) romantic movies

I didn’t get a chance to listen to 91.5 Energy FM’s Mr. Fu anymore since I fell asleep before his boardwork started. Meganon!

So yeah, penises and wangs and CHUPA in the morning are fun!

Rustom Padilla is now Bebe Gandanghari

I know this is kind of late, but we just wanted to share with you (for those who haven’t heard of the news yet… I mean, where have you been hiding?) the new Rustom Padilla: Bebe Gandanghari or BEBE for short (Bebe also means Be all you want to Be!”). (watch the Startalk interview here)

We can only surmise that ever since he came out on the reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition, he has gone through so many things in his life – and we were all witnesses to some of them. One of them was when he surprised everyone at the Urian Awards last year when he entered the stage (to present an award) dressed in women’s clothes.

Recently, he came out on national television and announced that Rustom Padilla is now “dead” and he is now called Bebe Gandanghari. We knew this time was gonna come after he announced a few months ago that he did not need permission from anyone to wear women’s clothes. Also, he said in an interview in October of 2008 that the reason why he was dressed in women’s clothes was that he was doing a character study to prepare for his one-(wo)man show at the Music Museum this February.

So do you think Bebe Gandang Hari will stay for long or is this just a publicity stunt for his show? I don’t know. One thing I know is that he’s brave enough to face the consequences of his actions. Ganda mo ‘teh!
