Guys4men is one of the biggest and largest(oh boy do we love big and large things) gay dating sites in the Philippines. And I personally think that it has the best interface among all dating sites that I’m a member of (yes, I’m a slut like that).
PlanetRomeo (also known as GayRomeo) is actually one cool site, which I am a member of too. If you’re not quite familiar with PlanetRomeo, the guys4men notice says it’s quite similar to guys4men in terms of functionality and vision. Also, PlanetRomeo has more members in Europe. So add Asia + Europe (Guys4men + PlanetRomeo), then you have a Eurasian gay dating site! Charot. The two sites are set to merge on March 18, 2009. According to the merger’s press release, Guys4men user profiles will be moved to the PlanetRomeo web application. What this means for existing Guys4men users is that all their profile contents will be moved to PlanetRomeo, but they will not have to do anything. However, there will be a short time between now and the March 18 merge when Guys4men members will not be able to access the site.
In addition, all Guys4men members will be receiving a PLUS membership (PlanetRomeo’s version of the Supporter Status) for 6 months! Guys4men members with existing SitePoints (I have close to 300 – all referrals!) will have them translated into PlanetRomeo Plus membership in a pro rata allocation.
For those who are NOT interested in joining the merger, all they have to do is delete their guys4men profile before March 18.
Those who opt-out of guys4men before then will not be automatically transferred to Planetromeo, and will miss out on the free Plus membership.
More information can be found on their Press Release Page

Bolivia, a country in South America, has recently passed a new constitution which took effect last February 7, 2009. And that constitution, approved by 61% of the voting population, has provisions that protect members of the LGBT community from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity:
Article 14.II: In the title “Fundamental Rights and Guarantees’: The State prohibits and punishes all forms of discrimination founded on the basis of sex, sin color, gender, age, sexual orientation and gender identity, origin, culture, nationality, citizenship, language, religious beliefs, ideology, political or philosophical affiliation.
Bolivia, like the Philippines, is composed of a great majority of Roman Catholics (95% – source: CIA World Factbook). If Bolivia can do it, why can’t we? Why can’t we pass the Anti-Discrimination Bill that has been in Congress for a decade now?

I’m not a good photographer (actually, I’m not a photographer at all) but whenever I get requests from people (if they can use my photo for something), I say yes and allow them to. I’m not one who sells my photos.  When I’m in a good mood, I actually go the extra mile and send them the original high-resolution copy (or copies) sans the watermark. As long as permission is sought prior to use, I no longer ask for any attribution. I don’t even charge. I’m nice like that (maybe to compensate for the absence of talent and skill)
So to the producers/writers of The Buzz, I don’t wanna make a big deal out of this (because I love your show dearly! like sobra! and I love Boy and Kris and Ruffa!), but please, the next time you use my photo:
- Kindly ask permission, or
- Acknowledge the use of the photo, or
- If you don’t have time to do any of the above, do not remove or edit out my watermark.
The photo above, was used for their segment on Vicky Belo which aired last Sunday, February 15, 2009.

Tom Cruise shows off his amazing new physique — rippling abs and bulging biceps! — while relaxing with his family at the exclusive hotel on Copacabana Beach in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
Marc Jacobs is cutting down on costs this season as he cuts down the fashion show’s guest list from 2,000 to 700, and cancels the after-party.

I know this is kind of late, but we just wanted to share with you (for those who haven’t heard of the news yet… I mean, where have you been hiding?) the new Rustom Padilla: Bebe Gandanghari or BEBE for short (Bebe also means Be all you want to Be!”). (watch the Startalk interview here)
We can only surmise that ever since he came out on the reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition, he has gone through so many things in his life – and we were all witnesses to some of them. One of them was when he surprised everyone at the Urian Awards last year when he entered the stage (to present an award) dressed in women’s clothes.
Recently, he came out on national television and announced that Rustom Padilla is now “dead” and he is now called Bebe Gandanghari. We knew this time was gonna come after he announced a few months ago that he did not need permission from anyone to wear women’s clothes. Also, he said in an interview in October of 2008 that the reason why he was dressed in women’s clothes was that he was doing a character study to prepare for his one-(wo)man show at the Music Museum this February.
So do you think Bebe Gandang Hari will stay for long or is this just a publicity stunt for his show? I don’t know. One thing I know is that he’s brave enough to face the consequences of his actions. Ganda mo ‘teh!

“People who are against gay marriage do not understand the very freedoms that they themselves are enjoying,†he argues. “What if someone said, ‘Sorry, no Christianity here? No Judaism. Certainly no Mormons.’ No one would stand for that, and I wouldn’t allow anyone to say that either. I’d fight them in the same way.†– Brad Pitt on W Magazine
Brad Pitt FTW! If you didn’t know, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie contributed $100,000 last year to California’s “No on Prop 8†campaign. Not only that, he says that they will not get married until marriage rights are available to all. Go Brangelina!

I think this is one of the most well-said, if not the best said, arguments about California’s Proposition 8. And yes, this came from Keith Olbermann!
Why does this matter to you? What is it to you? In a time of impermanence and fly-by-night relationships, these people over here want the same chance at permanence and happiness that is your option. They don’t want to deny you yours. They don’t want to take anything away from you. They want what you wantâ€â€a chance to be a little less alone in the world.
Only now you are saying to themâ€â€no. You can’t have it on these terms. Maybe something similar. If they behave. If they don’t cause too much trouble. You’ll even give them all the same legal rightsâ€â€even as you’re taking away the legal right, which they already had. A world around them, still anchored in love and marriage, and you are saying, no, you can’t marry. What if somebody passed a law that said you couldn’t marry?
