Bakla Plays Wii at RedBox!

October 7th, 2008

Wii? Red Box? Yup, you read that right.  They have Wii at Red Box.

I went to Red Box last night thinking that it was another special “this time only” Wii parties. But I learned later on that I was wrong – the Wii party was not a “this tıme only” affair. Red Box is more of a karaoke/videoke place for me and many others out there. Well that will change soon as RedBox has already started offering Nintendo Wii as part of their long list of choices for leisure and recreation.

I love playing Wii, but I can’t afford it.  So I just play whenever I get the chance to (unless someone donates their old Wii to me, I will quit my day job and play Wii all day long. lol).  So when I found out that RedBox will start offering Wii, I was happy since I can now alternate between singing (which is my passion, but family and friends tag it as pasyon.) and playing Wii!  Just imagine playing Wii using a super humongous screen!   Oh dear!

There was also a Wii-themed costume contest » Read more: Bakla Plays Wii at RedBox!

Bakla’s LazerXtreme Experience

LazerXtreme is an exciting fantasy game that allows you to the sci-fi hero you’ve always wanted to be in the form of laser-powered guns and a battleground that looks like those you see in compter war games.

I don’t like shooting games and war games online, but I like them live.  Paintball and stuff like that.  And now, I think I’ve found the kind of “sporting activity” and game that suits me well — LazerXtreme.  I’m not kidding.  This is definitely something I want to do on a regular basis.

Girl, boy, bakla, tomboy — it does not matter what or who you are when you play the game.  All you need is just the right amount of drive and passion for playing. LazerXtreme may be a hidden secret of some people, but not anymore!  This new establishment opened just last May and is starting to get some buzz — thanks to word of mouth. And after playing a couple of games, I found out why many people are so into this.

We began with a briefing inside this X-Men/Star Wars-like room. We were given enough information for us to understand the rules of the game and the high-tech and high-end equipment used. After the briefing, we moved into the pack room where we put on our vests.  Entering the room built more excitement for me whe I saw the Battlesuits and the lights attached to it.  We donned our Battlesuits (complete with lights and Phaser Gun attached to the vest). » Read more: Bakla’s LazerXtreme Experience
