Jun Lana’s RoXXXanne, which got great reviews after its premiere night last year, will start screening at Robinson’s Galleria IndieSine on February 2 (moved from February 6). This is one of the few films that I’m eagerly awaiting to see on the big screen.
My One-Night with Janvier Daily was not enough for me and I know I gotta see more of him. But that’s not the primary reason why I wanna watch this film. Some of our gay blogger friends have already seen it and they all raved about the story and how well-made the film was.
We all keep secrets. And some keep theirs in their cellphones.
What secrets do you hide in your cellphone?
Below is the second-trailer showing the rave reviews of those who have seen the premiere. Click here to watch the original trailer.

It’s almost February! And unlike last year and the years prior, I have something to look forward to! I have never spent Valentine’s Day with a special someone, nor at the very least spent the day of love in someone’s arms (that should be good enough, right?). And even if I’m gonna be spending the day of love this year by lonesome and loveless self, I’m not gonna be nega about it. At least I have something to look forward to.

I’m talking about Daybreak, a story about the dynamics of two men over the course of a day deciding whether to leave their partners and be together. Starring Coco Martin and Paolo Rivero and directed by the talented Adolf Alix Jr., Daybreak (from Bicycle Pictures) is a movie that many of us, gay men and straight-folk alike, will surely learn a lot from. Watch the trailer after the jump.

Synopsis (source)
“DAYBREAK” happens entirely in one place: a rest house in Taal, Batangas and only with two characters. In a single narrative time, intending by way of voyeurism, we discover what happens to two men spending one night contemplating whether to break up or continue their relationship. William and JP allow us to know their biggest lies and the biggest truths… two people loving each other, clinging to each other, betraying each other — trying the fragility of their feelings in only one night.
Memories and dreams, truths and lies, fears and desires, betrayal and honesty, love and hate are all closely entwined in this night.
Behind the veil of words, they are drawn to each other but will the light of the sunrise bring this intimacy to an end?
Reasons why I’m looking forward to watching this film?

Filipino gay men are showing great promise in conquering the world not only in the fashion, entertainment and music industries. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the Philippines has a grand plan to conquer the world. You all just don’t know it yet. And by “world” I do not only mean the United States.
In an ultra-Orthodox community in Israel, a Filipino group of transsexuals, named Paper Dolls in a documentary by filmmaker Tomer Heymann. These “Paper Dolls” work during the day as caregivers to elderly Israeli men and as performers at Tel Aviv clubs at night.
The film was released in September 2006 (I wonder why I never heard of it at this time, probably because I was busy worrying about turning 24) Read the rest of this entry »
