COMELEC: Ang Ladlad is Immoral

In a not-so surprising turn of events, the Commission on Elections has yet again denied Ang Ladlad’s application for party-list accreditation. And this time, the reason is immorality.

Read this very deplorable news from Newsbreak below and see if you won’t get offended or angered by how the COMELEC officers think these days.

In light of this COMELEC decision, Ang Ladlad is calling all its members, allies, friends and supporters to a general assembly on 14 November 2009, Saturday, 8am-12nn at the Seminar Room 108 of the University Hotel, UP Diliman. For directions, call the University Hotel at landline 926.1975/926.1953 or mobile 0920.471.0111.

It’s time to get up and stand up for our rights!

Bakla sa 2010: The Philippine Elections Coverage

As part of my continued efforts to becoming a better citizen of this country and of the world, I started a new blog last week: Bakla sa 2010.

No, I am not running for public office.  I am voting!  Bakla Sa 2010 is a special blog project of The Bakla Blogs Network. We aim to educate and inform voters about the upcoming 2010 Philippine Elections: registration process, the campaign period, and election day itself. See the elections through Baklang AJ’s point of view!

The blog is a non-partisan and non-political site which will guide voters – old and new – in the 2010 Philippine Elections.  There are livestream videos, steps and procedures for registration, lists of valid IDs and other requirements, election-related laws, articles and information, and anything and everything about the 2010 Elections.

Follow me as I do my research for Comelec applications, procure my application requirements, apply for a transfer of registration, go with other people as they register to vote, and on May 11, 2010 – vote and watch my vote!
