The Unlikely
Lately I’ve been back to my old habits of having a crush on and fantasizing a future with what I call “The Unlikely”.
“The Unlikely” are those hot men whom I have deep feelings for (or so I like myself to believe) but are very unlikely to be mine. It is close to impossible to have them date me (or for me to date them!).
This is due to reasons which I have already dealt with in the past and have finally accepted as something close to fact: they are straight, they’re gay but won’t go for guys like me, or simply because they don’t know I exist.
Before my last relationship, I was this big fanboy of too many stars (and pseudo-stars) and good-looking boys from everywhere that I ended up jaded, frustrated, disappointed and sad because I never had that chance with that guy. Because I was too skinny and too ugly for them. Because no matter what I did, they were really just out of my league. Blech.
“Mangarap Ka” was the running theme song of my life then. Ambisyosang Palaka! That was me. But now, I just content myself with looking at these men and drooling over them for a few minutes, then it’s over. I now know that it takes about a day or two (sometimes less than a day) before I finally move on and wipe the drool off my mouth and face.
Tapos na ang maliligayang araw ni Claudine Barretto and Mark Anthony Fernandez kaya dapat lang matapos na rin ang kahibangan ko sa mga lalakeng hindi naman magiging akin. Life goes on.
So how am I dealing with this now? Two words:
FARM TOWN!
