Taas Noo at Ipinagmamalaki Kong BAKLA AKO! – The IDAHO Challenge
Recently, I posted about a challenge called The IDAHO Challenge.
The Idaho Challenge is a community project by Gays.com to produce a user-generated video to be released 17 May 2009, the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHO).
While 67 countries have signed the new United Nations statement to decriminalise homosexuality worldwide (The Philippines is not yet a signatory), anti-gay discrimination remains a reality in many parts of the world. This year, Gays.com wants to create a video that sends out the message that gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered people are just like everyone else. We come from all over the world and we come in all shapes and sizes and colours. And we want to send this message to the people of the world in every language that’s out there!
On May 17, 1990, homosexuality was removed from the International Classification of Diseases of the World Health Organization (WHO). The IDAHO is aimed at fighting against discrimination of people based on their sexual orientation.
And here is my contribution!
What about you? Are you ready to take up this challenge? If you are, head on over to http://gays.com/idaho to find out how!
