The Buzz, Please Ask Permission Next Time

Hayden and Ernie

I’m not a good photographer (actually, I’m not a photographer at all) but whenever I get requests from people (if they can use my photo for something), I say yes and allow them to. I’m not one who sells my photos.   When I’m in a good mood, I actually go the extra mile and send them the original high-resolution copy (or copies) sans the watermark. As long as permission is sought prior to use, I no longer ask for any attribution.  I don’t even charge. I’m nice like that (maybe to compensate for the absence of talent and skill)

So to the producers/writers of The Buzz, I don’t wanna make a big deal out of this (because I love your show dearly!  like sobra! and I love Boy and Kris and Ruffa!), but please, the next time you use my photo:

  1. Kindly ask permission, or
  2. Acknowledge the use of the photo, or
  3. If you don’t have time to do any of the above, do not remove or edit out my watermark.

The photo above, was used for their segment on Vicky Belo which aired last Sunday, February 15, 2009.

Until the past weekend.

Hayden and Ernie

I, along with other bloggers, got the chance to meet Dra. Vicki Belo and Dr. Hayden Kho of the Belo Medical Group. When I received the invite through email for a Belo Open House for Bloggers, I did not think twice and immediately replied in the affirmative.  This is Belo we are talking about.  Of course, there’s that wishful thinking that I would finally meet the H-O-T Dr. Hayden Kho Jr.  Little did I know that this wish was going to be granted on that fateful weekend. And I got more than just a meet-up with Doc Hayden!

I need to be Belo-fied

During the event, Hayden discussed what the Belo Medical Group was about through a presentation titled Beauty and the Best. Through this presentation, I found out that I actually knew too little about Belo and what they do. Hayden gave a quick rundown of all their surgical services (Belo Surgical Solutions) as well as Read the rest of this entry »
